green bean was set up as an organic market garden by Catherine Ducker in 2000, which supplied local vegetables for the community and acted as an excellent educational resource for organic gardening. She brought her artistic training to the design of a successful demonstration garden and continues to offer consultations in garden design. The philosophy at the heart of her gardening continues to be care for the environment, wildlife and soil.

Since starting a family, Catherine has moved from Littlestoke and is busy implementing another potager. The market garden continues to thrive, with a new cutting garden being steadily established.
